CHIEF PEOPLE STRATEGIST
Gretchen A. McKinney, a seasoned professional in organizational
strategies, risk management, investigations, Civil Service
management, Louisiana employment law, and human resources
management, with extensive experience across government, retail,
finance, and military environments. Leveraging her expertise,
she helps clients develop the organizational agility crucial for
business success.
Currently, she facilitates programming, coaches,
and presents for the Career Immersion and Leadership Institute.
Previously, Ms. McKinney held dual roles as the City of
Mandeville’s Civil Service Director and Human Resources Director,
supporting Civil Service and Non Civil Service positions including
the department of Planning and Zoning, Public Works, Events,
City Hall and Police Departments. Her background includes
leadership roles with Civilian Facilitation for the US Navy,
Opryland Hotel, Ford Motor Credit, and Sam’s Club.

Using her many year's in safety and expertise in business continuity
Ms. McKinney was selected and served on the St. Tammany Parish
Government's Economic Recovery and Resiliency Advisory Council
during the COVID pandemic.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology
from Texas A&M University and is a certified Human Resources
Professional with SHRM-SCP and HR Certification Institute's Senior
Professional in Human Resources credentials.
With 25 years in the Society for Human Resource Management and
membership in the Public Sector HR Association (PSHRA) formerly
IPMA-HR, Ms. McKinney is Past President and
Honorary Lifetime Member of the Northshore Society for Human Resource Management.
